Good question… I am a marketing student as well and haven’t thought of this. I guess I’ve just always used my resume as my means of communication, and never worried about a title. Definitely use your name, address, phone number, and email address- the same things you would use at the top of a resume.

I’m assuming you have a resume already if you are thinking about business cards. I’d say I like “prospective employee” the best.

A short, catchy line would definitely be good. I can’t really think of anything specific, but I’d use something that would spark interest and NOT something generic and boring. Duh. I guess that doesn’t really help much!

Have you already chosen a card? VistaPrint.com always has amazing deals… I think you can get 250 free. I know people that have been very satisfied with their service.

The most important thing to put on your business card is a photo of yourself, people will remember faces rather than just names.
Obviously your name, address, phone number, email address, web site are all things that should be there as well but the picture is the most important.
My card has my photo on it, all my contact details, my business’s name and logo with the following statement .
“Showing people like you a path to Financial Freedom”
My business is all about helping others to get to where they want to be in life, using networking, if you would like any more information get back to me by email.

I think having a business card is a creative way to network, even for a student.
Basics would be your name and contact information, phone, email, address, etc.
For a title under your name, I would simply put Marketing Major - University or College you are attending
A catch phrase could be an asset or a negative. It depends on the phrase and the receiving audience.
If you decide yes - something like “Committed to Excellence since - (00/00/0000 birthdate). Let them figure out what that means.
Good Luck.
